A nice example of an original WW2 German M40 Helmet which has some battle damage. Does have some spray on camo and does retain an original decal to the side of the helmet. Has had an impact to the top part of the helmet which has resulted in cracking to the top and lower back. The liner is in good condition and is marked 56. The shell size is 64 but can’t make out the makers mark. The leather chin strap is the original two part black leather and is dated 1943. Overall a very nice example of a M40 Helmet.
