WW2 British/Commonwealth Military Mk III Marching Compass Dated 1943 and Marked E.A.C

An original 1943-dated British/Commonwealth military Mk III prismatic marching compass, marked with the manufacturer E.A.C (The Eastern Agency Co. / Australian Military Forces Ordnance). Supplied to officers serving in the Pacific and European theatres, these E.A.C-marked models are significantly scarcer than the standard British "T.G. Co." variants.

This item features excellent cosmetic character and a smooth mechanism, does have a slight bubble in the fluid as shown in pictures. Does have some of the brass base coming through on the body of the compass due to age related wear. The internal black plastic sighting/lubber line has detached from its fixed position on the glass/bezel ring and is loose inside the compass.
